Technology is interesting to me because of the people involved.
Programmers are really interesting people.
You know, they have to be good puzzlers.
They have to have quick minds.
And they are often troubled in some interesting ways.

Before I took this job I was engineering manager and I told
people that I was Wendy to the lost boys.
You know Wendy from Peter Pan.
You get to tell them stories and be their mother, you are not really their mother, but you might be a even better mum, because they can tell you what they work on.
Certainly that's what my husband like about me, that we could talk about what he worked on.
That's a good thing, right.
